Safenet Sentinel Dongle - expiration date - locked software

Hi there

I'm new here and not a programming genius so please bear with me.

I'm using a piece of educational software which uses a Safenet Sentinel dongle to work. 

I have the original software installation disks and the dongle.

The software is designed to expire - which it has done.

I thought I had tricked it by turning back the clock on my Windows machine.

But when I moved over to my mac, I forgot to do this.  As I clicked to open the software I immediately got a message saying my software had expired.  I then turned back the clock and reloaded.

Unfortunately it was too late, i got a message saying 'you have changed the clock.... your key needs to be reprogrammed.'  Put it back in my PC but got the same message.

Utter devastation as I require this software to work.  it is way to expensive for me to buy right now.

Can anyone please advise how I unlock it?

U didn't backup it before u set date?

I'm not sure I follow you?  I have all my files backed up yes so have not lost any of my work.

It is a piece of software by Gemvision called Matrix 7.5 - it is a CAD based program.

Dongle backup, before u did that and it expired.

you known DevID for your dongle?
