USBTrace can not detect SRM log

Greetings, I'm a newbie of this forum.

I'm using an engineering software protected by HASP SRM key.

I have a dongle and want to back it up.

So I followed SRM backup tutorial ([You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]) posted by ovis 25.

When I launched USBtrace and inserted a dongle. I got a signal.

However, when I launched and used several functions in the software. There was no response in USBtrace.

I have another HASP HL dongle which protects another software. When I used it, log appeared in USBtrace.

Only when I used HASP SRM dongle, no  log appeared in USBtrace. (Software worked finely.)

Any suggestions for this problems?

Your key is driveless no?

Usbtrace will must work. To use other other version.

I installed Sentinel Runtime Driver.

Then I can confirm following devices are installed

SafeNet Inc. HASP Key
SafeNet Inc. Sentinel HL Key
SafeNet Inc. USB Key

I have tried with 2.4 and 2.8 version.

But both of them showed no log.

No problem in USBTrace.
Your software use hasp_info/admin api/json to check dongle. These processed at LMS layer, and not go to usb layer.

Does LMS mean license manger service by hasplms.exe in windows directory?
In such a case, is it possible to back up the dongle?

Yes. In 99% cases only dongle dumps enough for backup.

Yes, send soft link and follow tutorial make key backup.

dump is ciphered and useless. name of the dumper you make it?

h6dmp == nodongle biz - only he know it

No SRM functions in log, because these visible is only hotpug initialization. Is normal log for 3.25 firmware + hardware 6.1 revision HASPs.

Dongle vendor 78927 is Reprise license manager generic dongle (mean used in hunderds of software targets).
Many RLM protected targets first check their license file and after this dongle SN (only).
Only HASP ID is enough for RLM emulator and in most targets even dongle not need (all goods is in rlm license)

It is not allowed to upload a big file in my workplace, I'll find another method to link the soft.

Instead, I have went through your tutorial and I got a reg file with RTDumper.

Also I got a license to use Multikey version 19.1.8 32bit version from testprotect homepage.

By the way, when I merged it into registry file and installed multikey.

There's an exclamation mark at 'SafeNet Inc. USB key' and softkey does not work.

When the dongle is plugged, 'SafeNet Inc. Sentinel HL Key', 'SafeNet Inc. USB Key', 'SafeNet Inc. HASP Key' appear in tree.

There's a suggestion to change dongletype. But it also does not work.

Could any one check the reg file is correctly dumped?

Dude,
you reveal your dongle ID and
you are going to loose your license (worst if it is company dongle - you can loose your job). If your software is Artemis or Minesight - do not think their developers is idiots and not check forums.
