SafeNet Inc. USB Key Failed

so guys iv bin trying to get this to work for a while.
i have tho successfully got it to emulate in vm xp just fine.
bring it to windows 7 64bit. im having issue if any one can help id be grateful.

so my issue is i install mulikey 18.1.7 we r in test mode so all is fine multikey runs.
gos to install the safenet key and it fails if you go to device manager it got error 10 failed to start
i have all the latest drivers installed for it and i have tryed to turn off the internet to by pass the searching on line "found it in a thread for a solution to fix" however it didnt work.
i used
-toro aladdin to monitor for keys
-used h5dmp to dump it
-used unidumptoreg for registry with setting of chingachguk based hasp hl
-and added "DongleType"=dword:00000001 to reg file

any one have any ideas?

kk got it downloaded uninstalled the last one did the infclean
installed the one you sent and still same thing

kay im confused now i installed one of the example reg files.

and restarted the comp and it installed and is running under the serial bus i have safenet inc. hardlock key
safenetinc. usbkey
then i have another safenet inc usb key "but failed to start"
so does that mean my reg file is not right?

the reg files ok, post your dump file here we will check.

Downgrade your Dongle drivers to V5.9.5 or change this in the reg file

type = dword:000000EA - hasp hl
also thank you lomex the changing the type to "a" did the job.
so if toro cant find the dongle pass what do you do?

I had the same problem. I have changed EA to 0A, and know there are SafeNet Inc. HASP key and SafeNet Inc. USB Key.

But my programm does not work.. It's like there is no dongle plugged.

When I plug the original dongle, theres an additional device, called "SafeNet Inc. Sentinel HL Key"

Anybody know a solution?

I read out the password with HASPHL2010. H5dmp.exe for the dump and UniDumpToReg for the regfile.

I think, it's a HASP HL(SRM) dongle. My dongle is exactly 40mm.

can someone help me with instrunctions for dummies on what should I do? I wanted to install the dongle emulator for Edius to work, but found the same problem: "SafeNet Inc. USB Key Failed"

I installed the software, then restarted the computer, and using the F8 menu, i selected the "without signature verification" mode.
then I installed the dongle emulator with multikey, clicked on install.cmd, a new device appeared, Windows Update quickly tried to install it. then the fail thing.

Just turn off internet connection while instaling.

I had older drivers and it worked, but I had to install newer drivers and after restart the emulation stopped working.
This type change in registry solved my problem and it works again!
