Devcon failed problem Empty Devcon failed problem

Post by kielbasa Mon Jan 12, 2015 2:58 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to create a virtual usb dongle to get one printing program to work, however when I click install.cmd it says 'devcon failed. No devices were removed'.
what's strange, on my computer it doesn't work, but on my sisters' it does.
same windows on both (win 7 x64).

I downloaded a different devcon.exe file to replace it in my folder, but it doesn't help.
I also tried downloading win sdk drivers, creating c:\multikey and moving files there, swapping devcon.exe but no luck.
any clue?

thanks!

U need devcon for x64 in Windows 64 bit and devcon for x86 in 32 bit version. If u can't manage it send PM and I will help you.

'devcon failed. No devices were removed'.
It's means that you tried remove device which is not exists in the system.

ok, but why it works on my laptop, and on my sisters it does not?
What might be present (some other devices, programs), or plugged to make this difference?
