Hardlock time expiration - need help

Hi all,

i have a working reg-file from a Hardlock Dongle, but the expiration date is 2014/12/31.

Can anybody help me to modify the reg-file to disable or extend the expiration date?

I can send the dump+reg-file to anyone who want to help me (eMail or PN, as a new member i can´t post links...)

Yes, VendorCode for change or remove the expiration date is required.

Send me the dump and software. I'll help you. There is a way to find the hex code to set the date way back like few years. Then run the software with a utility runasdate.

I can try and find the hex code and make a new reg file. But need the software and dump.

The best solution is remove the expiration date from RUS structure.

Some times the software has a time check to get the time from dongle and check the expiration date. if the expiration date data is not present the software will not work by saying that no expiration date data found in the hardlock.

I had a similar problem.

Try removing the last 4 hex codes from the reg file and try.

Removing the last 4 bytes from the memory will not help you.

Removing the last 4 hex codes does the trick. Unbelievably!
Time expiration is gone.

Would be better to remove the expiration date, but not add 2 years.

Calculate a number of days passed since 01-01-1994 till 04-10-2014.
Convert the number to hex value.

04-10-2014 minus 01-01-1994 gives 7581 days, which converted to hex is 1D9D.
I see 1D in 3 places in the data of my dongle backup, both when it was till 04-10-2014 and till 02-11-2014. But 9D is missing.
What can I extract from it? Hex pairs before or after 1D are not exactly the same.

Now I am getting nonsense things:
-First I replaced the 3 1D values by 1E and when restarting MK, and the soft, I got "clock tampering detected", reset system clock. I did not change the clock. The license said it was active till july 2015.
-I did other changes and now I got it to work until december 22 2014. I obtained some extra days but I still cannot figure out how to deal with this.
Any further advises?
